The Andalusian Academy
of Gastronomy and Tourism
The Andalusian Academy of Gastronomy and Tourism is a non-profit Association, made up of 60 academics who are distributed among the 8 Andalusian provinces, each one of them represented by a Commander. The purpose of the Andalusian Academy of Gastronomy and Tourism is to publicize and value Andalusian gastronomy, as a fundamental element for the promotion of quality tourism.
Andalusia is, without a doubt, a world leader in terms of agrifood and fishing production of high variety and quality. Its ancestral recipes make this region a gastronomic reference, and many of its dishes define the very essence of traditional food. In Andalusia the great milestone of our cuisine and our way of life is born: “El Tapeo”. Tapas are undoubtedly the ensign and distinctive sign of Andalusian gastronomy in the world.
